Seriously disagree right here.
I come from an extremely close family, and have all the love in the world from them and from my friends. I just lack the love of a good man/life partner (for now)
I am and will be on medication for the rest of my life. Why? Because my brain does not produce enough seratonin for me to get through certain situations in a normal fashion.
Saying people with mental illnesses don’t need medication is like saying diabetics don’t need insulin.
Saying people with mental illnesses just need love is like saying diabetics just need to cut out sugar. It’s not enough.
EVERYONE needs love. But for some people, all the love in the world is not enough. That’s when the medication needs to help out.

Weofthecraftareallcrazy - I completely agree with you. After years of yo-yo moods, a brain scan showed that I had “abnormalities in the frontal lobe of the brain”. I will also be on medication for the rest of my life and no amount of love will ever change this. A mental illness is like any other illness and should NOT be lessened. Often, it is a life long illness, and relying on other people to give you the natural medication i.e. love, the sufferer needs is ridiculous, because it is simply NOT enough.
